On June 29, Netflix announced the cast for the much-anticipated follow-up season to its record-breaking K-Drama series, Squid Game.

Among the second season’s cast, news of one actor’s casting, in particular, stunned netizens — T.O.P.
Not long after Netflix’s announcement, Dispatch alleged that it was Lee Jung Jae who had campaigned for T.O.P’s inclusion. In an exclusive report, Dispatch alleged that Lee Jung Jae was heavily involved in the recruitment of T.O.P while citing the two celebrity’s close relationship.

When Dispatch asked T.O.P’s representatives if he auditioned for the role, they were told that nothing could be stated. Netflix also did not respond to Dispatch’s request for a statement.
