Akshay Kumar is back again with his next movie, Oh My God 2, portraying someone similar to Lord Shiva. He posted the teaser on Instagram with the message “Rakh Vishwas.” He is shown as channeling Lord Shiva for his disciple, played by Pankaj Tripathi, while long sporting dreadlocks, without a shirt, and ash on his forehead.
While Paresh Rawal played an atheist in the first part of Oh My God, Pankaj Tripathi plays Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devotee of Lord Shiva, in OMG 2. The teaser begins with Pankaj Tripathi’s voiceover, in which he claims a human being can prove God’s presence by being either a believer or an atheist, yet God always comes to help someone in need. It starts with a mention of Paresh’s tale from the first chapter. Then it shows how Pankaj Tripathi’s Kanti Sharan Mudgal worships Lord Shiva with the deepest devotion and how his family experiences tragedy. A child committing suicide while underneath a train is also seen.
However, there is no clue about Yami Gautam, who portrays a lawyer in the movie. Oh My God 2, directed by Amit Rai, is a sequel to the first, in which Akshay played the role of Lord Krishna. Last Thursday, Yami revealed her look from OMG 2.
In theatres, OMG 2 will compete alongside Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. According to reports, it features Govind Namdev, who also appeared in OMG, and Arun Govil as Lord Rama.
