Yoon Kye Sang Is Yoo Na’s Kidnapper In Upcoming Black Comedy Drama

-

Upcoming drama “The Day of the Kidnapping” (literal translation) has unveiled a teaser poster!

Based on a novel of the same name, “The Day of the Kidnapping” is a black comedy about a special collaboration between a clumsy kidnapper and an 11-year-old genius girl.

Yoon Kye Sang stars as Kim Myung Joon, a first-time kidnapper who abducts an 11-year-old girl to raise money for his daughter’s hospital fees. Due to an incident in which he accidentally gets himself involved, Kim Myung Joon is suddenly hunted down as a murder suspect.

Yoo Na of “Pachinko” plays genius girl Choi Ro Hee, who loses her memory. She has a cynical and exceptional mind despite her young age, and she overcomes various crises while forming a strange bond with Kim Myung Joon.

The newly released poster depicts kidnapper Kim Myung Joon and genius girl Choi Ro Hee standing side by side on a winding road. Dressed in shabby clothes with unkempt hair and beard, Kim Myung Joon affectionately carries Ro Hee’s bag for her, while Ro Hee appears completely at ease as she stands calmly with her kidnapper in a bright yellow dress. The relaxed atmosphere between Ro Hee and her kidnapper Kim Myung Joon already has viewers wondering what kind of unusual kidnapping case this could be.

The production team of “The Day of the Kidnapping” shared, “The teaser poster was intended to capture the world of the drama and the relationships between the characters. Please look forward to a different kind of emotional buddy thriller that depicts the extraordinary journey of a clumsy kidnapper and a genius girl. It will be filled with laughter and emotion, as well as twists and turns that will thrill viewers.”

“The Day of the Kidnapping” will premiere on September 13 at 9 p.m. KST.
