Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer Hum Aapke Hain Koun would not have been an enormous household entertainer, followers of Salman would not have been in a position to see his endearing aspect and Joote Dedo Paise Lelo would not have been the tune that is performed in each shaadi. Thanks to Aditya Chopra who gave Sooraj Barjatya, the director of the 1994 movie a suggestion that modified the box office destiny of Hum Aapke Hain Koun.
The Romantics, which is now streaming on Netflix, has Sooraj reveal the greatness of the slightly reclusive filmmaker Aditya Chopra. Much like his father, the legendary Yash Chopra, Aditya too glided by his instincts and knew good from dangerous as quickly as he noticed one thing. Talking about an anecdote in at The Romantics, Sooraj reveals in regards to the time Hum Aapke Hain Koun launched. An enormous ensemble solid, melodious songs and a narrative that’s enjoyable and but tugs at your coronary heart, Sooraj thought he had a winner on fingers.
He remembers, “My first reminiscence of Aditya Chopra is when Maine Pyaar Kiya launched. While not lots of people have been positive about it working, Aditya had a smile on his face and he instructed me, ‘acchi hai, chal jayegi. Don’t fear’.”
Many years later, when Hum Aapke Hain Kaon launched, the primary few screenings had a lukewarm response, worrying Barjatya. “I received a name from Aditya. And he requested me if he can share one thing. He could be very simple and he instructed me, simply minimize two and a half songs from the movie and it will work very effectively,” shares Barjatya.
He acted on Aditya’s suggestion and regardless of the sooner ‘flop’ opinions, the movie went on to change into one of many largest hits in Indian cinema. The Romantics on Netflix is directed by Smriti Mundhra and tells the story of the life and times of Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra and the Yash Raj Films legacy.
