While Marvel may dominate the box office now, there was a time in the 1980s when DC was the only comic book company making superhero movies like ‘Superman‘ or ‘Batman.’ But that all changed in 1990 when an independent comic book company called Mirage Studios released ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,’ which was based on their popular comic and was a box office smash.
Since then there have been 2 different live-action franchises, and several theatrical and home entertainment released animated movies. The newest addition to the franchise, the Seth Rogen produced animated film ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,’ is scheduled for release in theaters on August 2nd.
In honor of the Turtles return to the big screen, ECinema News is counting down every Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action and animated movie, both theatrical and home entertainment releases, including the latest.
