The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is finally heading to Disney Plus as part of the schedule for August 7-13.
The second installment in the Amazing Spider-Man film series will be available on Disney Plus starting Friday, August 11. Released in 2014, the film continues the story of Andrew Garfield‘s Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man. This time, the beloved superhero deals with Electro (Jamie Foxx) and Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), a.k.a. Green Goblin. The cast includes Emma Stone, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field. The film grossed over $700 million at the box office but received mixed reviews from critics.
On Wednesday, August 9, the Disney-owned streamer will also release all the installments of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 4. The cast includes Joshua Bassett, Sofia Wylie, Dara Reneé, Julia Lester, Frankie Rodriguez, Kate Reinders, and Liamani Segura. The upcoming season will also see the return of several High School Musical graduates, including Chad Danforth (Corbin Bleu), Taylor McKessie (Monique Coleman), Ryan Evans (Lucas Grabeel), and Martha Cox (Kaycee Stroh).
“Season 4 will see the Wildcats returning to East High, where they prepare a stage production of 2008’s High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” according to the logline. “But, in a meta twist signature to the series, plans are disrupted when Disney announces the long-awaited High School Musical 4: The Reunion movie will shoot on location at their beloved high school.”
