Hey folks, Twinkle Khanna is here to rid you of your mid-week blues. The former actress, who is known for her quirky sense of humour, was able to make her fans laugh once again with her latest Instagram post, featuring none other than her mother Dimple Kapadia. Twinkle Khanna posted three pictures on Instagram on Wednesday. In the first two pictures from Twinkle’s childhood, we can see her walking while holding her mom Dimple’s hand, who is looking gorgeous in a saree. The second picture is not much different from the first as we get a glimpse of Twinkle and her mom, caught in a candid moment. Notably, in both pictures, Twinkle Khanna looks visibly displeased as opposed to her mother Dimple, who can be seen flashing her widest smile. The third picture is however from the present and shows the mother-daughter duo smiling beautifully for the camera.
Even better than the picture was Twinkle’s caption where she revealed the role she plays in her mom’s life. She wrote, “All I need is a little suit and I could easily pass off as her bouncer. Forty years later, I am still her bodyguard. I got the suit and I have also learned to disguise the aggressiveness behind a smile. What role do you play in your mother’s life?”
Twinkle Khanna’s hilarious post was liked by many including her industry friends Namrata Shirodkar and Bobby Deol, who dropped heart emojis below the post. For the unversed, Twinkle Khanna and Bobby Deol worked together in the 1995 film Barsaat.

A few weeks back, Twinkle Khanna, who enrolled herself at the University of London to pursue a Master’s degree in writing last year, posted a video of a scene from her writing desk where she could be seen napping. The second shot was that of her chilling on a holiday. For the caption, she wrote, “Morning time, wearing my student hat, diligently working on the final dissertation for my Master, while my children catch me yawning and making funny faces. But come noon, it’s time to switch gears and put on my holiday hat! All play and no work make this Jill a dull and grumpy girl. What’s your favourite way to balance work and play? Do you hate working on holidays or thrive on it?”

In a previous Instagram entry, Twinkle Khanna wrote about university life. “And I turn into a giddy teenager when my husband comes to pick me up from uni,” Twinkle Khanna wrote about her husband Akshay Kumar. She added in her note, “What’s it like to be an older student going back to university to do my Masters? I feel like my mind has been thrown into a washing machine every day and it’s a delight to walk around with squeaky-clean ideas. There are evenings when I am working on my assignments and the kids are working on theirs on our dining table with papers strewn across and shared pencils.”

Twinkle is also an interior decorator, the owner of The White Window, and a film producer. Her last project as a film producer was the National Award-winning film PadMan, which starred her husband Akshay Kumar in the lead role. She also runs a digital content company. While her mom Dimple Kapadia was last seen in the web series Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo. The series also starred Angira Dhar, Radhika Madan, Isha Talwar and Deepak Dobriyal.
