Dhindhora Baje Re: Alia and Ranveer dance in Durga puja celebrations in the new Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani song – E Cinema News

-

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has released a brand-new dance song, this time intentionally traditional one and set in a Durga Puja scenario. The video, titled Dhindhora Baje Re, has Alia Bhatt dancing before a Durga Puja idol while Ranveer Singh is dressed in a red Anarkali and churidar. As the two dance their hearts out, their respective families give them strange looks. Jaya Bachchan, who portrays Rocky’s grandmother, walks out in wrath as Rani’s family members come around.

Alia and Ranveer dance enthusiastically to the song while wearing traditional red attires. The song features multiple backdrop dancers wearing red, set at a Durga Puja celebration. It was written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Darshan Raval and Bhoomi Trivedi.

After their 2019 movie Gully Boy, Ranveer and Alia reunite in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The two have been travelling between cities to promote the movie before it releases in theatres on July 28. In the film, Alia portrays Rani Chatterjee, a Bengali, while Ranveer plays Rocky Randhawa, a Punjabi.

After seven years after the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan Johar is back with a new film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The movie also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
