Bollywood is set to welcome another actor from the Deol family. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather Dharmendra, father Sunny Deol, uncle Bobby Deol and brother Karan Deol, Rajveer Deol is making his Bollywood debut. Sunny Deol’s younger son will be seen in Dono, alongside another star kid, Paloma, the daughter of actress Poonam Dhillon. Interestingly, Sunny Deol and Poonam Dhillon starred together in the 1984 film Soni Mahiwal. Now, in Dono’s first teaser, Rajveer and Paloma are seen as guests at a destination wedding in an exotic location. While Dev [Rajveer] is a friend of the bride, Meghna [Paloma] is the groom’s friend. The teaser offers glimpses of the two bonding during the wedding festivities, and clearly, love is in the air.
The film also marks the directorial debut of Avnish S Barjatya, who is the son of veteran filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya.
The teaser has been shared by several members of the Deol family including Rajveer’s dad Sunny Deol and uncle Bobby Deol. The Deol brothers shared the teaser with a similar caption that said, “Welcoming back the innocence of love with two strangers who have one destination. A new journey unfolds in cinemas soon! Directed by Avnish Barjatya, Rajveer Deol & Paloma Dhillon.”
Debutant Paloma Dhillon also shared the teaser with an identical caption. In response, actress Shraddha Kapoor said, “Go Pal,” with heart emojis. Paloma’s brother Anmol Thakeria Dhillon, who is also an actor, said, “Cute,” with heart emojis.

Meanwhile, Dharmendra announced Rajveer Deol’s debut in 2021. Asking fans to bless his grandson, the superstar tweeted, “Introducing my grandson Rajveer Deol to the world of cinema along with Avnish Barjatya’s directorial debut. I humbly request you all to shower the same love and affection on both the kids as you have on me. Good luck and God bless.”

Dono is a joint production between Rajshri Productions, owned by the Barjatyas, and Jio Studios. Sooraj Barjatya has taken on the role of the film’s Creative Producer. The music for the film has been composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, with the lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Chirantan Das serves as the director of photography. The story is by Avnish, who has also co-written the screenplay with Manu Sharma. The release date of the film has not been announced yet.
