The posters of Merry Christmas released on social media earlier this week and they already have a huge fanbase. The posters have a kitsch meets pulp-fiction kind of appeal and images of Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, underpinned with the film’s title in a bright font. The makers announced the film’s release by sharing the posters, the caption accompanying which read, “We decided to cut short the wait for the Christmas cheer. Merry Christmas releasing in theatres near you on 15th December 2023.” The comments section was eclipse by remarks on the poster. YouTuber Yashraj Mukhate asked, “Who designed this poster?” Farhan Akhtar commented, “Looking forward to this.” Tabu commented, “Can’t wait.” Sobhita Dhulipala added, “What incredible posters! Amazing.”
More comments incoming – “Poster looks fab. Can’t wait for this,” wrote an Instagram user. “Seen such a nice poster after long time,” added another. “Poster is pure old is gold, classic…Best of luck for Makkal Vijay Sir and Katrina mam,” read another comment. “The poster is insane,” inputs from another user. “This poster seems so promising. Can’t wait,” wrote another. “Superb poster! Love the retro vibe. All the best Katrina. Looking forward to this one,” added another.
