Neeyat Trailer Out: Vidya Balan performs Detective Mira Rao and investigates a homicide thriller in Anu Menon’s movie – E Cinema News

-

Actress Vidya Balan will return to the large display within the upcoming murder-mystery movie Neeyat, which reunites her with Shakuntala Devi director Anu Menon. 2019’s Mission Mangal was Vidya’s final theatrical launch. Since then, she has been within the streaming movies  Sherni, Shakuntala Devi and Jalsa.

She portrays the investigator Mira Rao in Neeyat, who investigates a homicide investigation throughout a wealthy man’s celebration within the Scottish countryside. When Ashish Kapoor (Ram Kapoor), a billionaire, is killed, his family and friends, every hiding one thing, come underneath suspicion.  Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi, Rahul Bose, Prajakta Koli, Shashank Arora, and others painting the suspects. Agatha Christie’s traditional thriller novel And Then There Were None, tailored for cinema and tv quite a few times, seems to be the inspiration for the story hinted at within the teaser. But most significantly, no detective character was on the centre of that story.

When Vidya’s Mira Rao arrives to conduct the investigation, she instantly begins questioning the suspects. She discovers that all of them harboured grudges towards Ashish Kapoor and had motives to hurt him.

With dialogue by Kausar Munir, Neeyat was penned by Priya Venkataraman, Anu Menon, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani. On July 7, Neeyat is anticipated to premiere in theatres, adopted by a launch on Prime Video.
