Rekha, The Friend With Whom Zeenat Aman Shares “Uninhibited Life Updates”

Film veteran Zeenat Aman once again put her Instagram A-game forward with her latest post. This time the Satyam Shivam Sundaram actor talked about her that “friend” who she might not meet for years but she will always be there to share her “uninhibited life updates”. Interestingly, Zeenat Aman hasn’t mentioned her name in the entire post. That “friend” doesn’t need an introduction. Zeenat Aman shared a black-and-white picture with none other than the evergreen Rekha in her latest post. In the frame, Zeenat Aman is dressed in a sleeveless dress while Rekha drapes herself in a saree. Their hands are also locked in the frame. Zeenat Aman wrote in the caption, “Years will go by without us exchanging a word, then we’ll bump into each other on a flight or at the nursery and spend a few hours sharing uninhibited life updates. Anyone else have a friend like that?”

Zeenat Aman asked her Instafam if any one of them could enlighten her about where the picture was taken. She concluded her post with these words, “I can’t for the life of me remember where this picture was taken, but I won’t put it past one of you to know! Enlighten me if you do, please” and posted a flower emoji at the end of the note.

Like all Zeenat Aman’s previous posts this post, too, has initiated conversations on the Internet. One user wrote, “Love this post because it is rare for female friendships to be celebrated – the cliche in film reporting is to simply focus on rivalries, though the reality is surely different.” Another user commented, “Two, unmatched Queens our world will ever have.”

In her new post, Zeenat Aman also added a splash of colour as she is seen donning a vibrant green jacket over a white shirt. The actor wrote in the caption, “Grey weather, grey hair… and a splash of colour to offset it all! I didn’t intend for my grey hair to be a statement, but a statement it has become. In fact, yesterday I read a tweet by someone who said they know at least three people who have been inspired to stop colouring their hair since I made my Instagram debut! I thought this was a wonderful compliment.”
