Remember Sahil Khan – the strapping actor who impressed fans with his films Style and Xcuse Me alongside Sharman Joshi? Well, fans of the duo can rejoice because the actors will be appearing together in a film after 20 years. Yes, the actor shared the announcement on social media. Sharing a collage featuring him and Sharman Joshi, He said, “After huge demand! 20 saal baad apke Chantu aur Bantu phir aa rahe hai eksath #Bollywood main with the writer and the director – Sam Khan absolutely delighted to work under his direction.” In one of the comments he also said, “Thank you,” with a heart emoji.

The news comes as a special treat to Sahil Khan fans as he has been away from the big screen for over 13 years and was last seen in the film Ramaa: The Saviour.

The actor embarked on his entertainment journey in the late-1990s, starting with a music video for Stereo Nation. He marked his entry into Bollywood with the 2001 film Style directed by N Chandra. As mentioned above, the sequel Xcuse Me in 2003 was also a success. He followed this up with work in projects like Double Cross, Yehi Hai Zindagi and Aladin.

By then, the actor was also grabbing eyeballs for his fitness levels. Soon, the actor put his acting career on the back burner and redirected his focus towards his career as a fitness expert.

In addition to investing in gyms, he also took the entrepreneurial route by establishing his own company called Divine Nutrition in 2016. Additionally, Sahil Khan also enjoys a large fan following –  2.8 million subscribers –  on his YouTube channel.

While on his break from films, Sahil Khan also spoke about how his early success did not go down well with some important players in Bollywood, causing him to be replaced. “Bohut kam logon ke saath zindagi main aesa hota hai ke apni 1st film – Style – ke bad India ke sabse top film magazine ke cover par, do India ke sab se bade superstar ke saath ho. Magar unme se ek superstar ko bohut bura laga (It happens with very few in life that after his/her first film, the actor gets to be on the cover of a top film magazine with two of India’s biggest superstars. But one of them took offence),” adding, “Jab ke main to naya tha, unka fan tha, kamzor tha. Phir bhi woh mujhe kai baar side role ke liye bulate rahe, tv show ke liye bhi bulate rahe – aur phir kai films se mujhe nikalwa diya (When I was a newcomer, I was his fan, I was weak. But still he used to call me repeatedly for side roles, used to call me for TV shows, and even took me off several films).”

On the personal front, Sahil Khan was married to actress Negar Khan from 2004 to 2005.

Meanwhile, Sharman Joshi also shared the announcement of the upcoming project with Sahil Khan. In a post, he said, “With the film all ready to roll, I am absolutely excited. The films that Sahil and I did earlier brought about a lot of appreciation for the chemistry we shared on screen. It was our first commercial hit that was seen by Raju Hirani sir too, who then signed me for 3 Idiots.” Sahil Khan replied to the post with heart and muscle emojis.

While the film will be directed by Sam Khan, the screenplay and dialogue will be written by Milap Zaveri.
