“At the start of each season we’d spend per week in Washington, D.C., and this unbelievable parade of consultants would come by from the political world and overseas coverage and journalists and generals and ambassadors,” Cahn explained to Tudum.
“And when the primary [ambassador] got here in and sat down and talked to us, she simply blew my thoughts. She regarded so well mannered and unassuming, and when you had instructed me she was a librarian, I might’ve believed you. And then she begins speaking about what her profession has regarded like and it is simply breathtaking. The tales are breathtaking and really action-packed and really Carrie Mathison, and no one is aware of about them. Those jobs, when performed proper, are utterly invisible.”
“And all we ever hear about it’s like, ‘Oh, ambassadors, they go and so they drink champagne in fancy locations,’ and it is a lot that is hidden. And not essentially hidden, however has not earlier than been very a lot of curiosity within the public. And I simply felt like this girl is a superhero in a pantsuit. She’s operating round saving the world and dodging bullets and doing all of it with a china teacup in her hand. And I simply did not see it coming. And I assumed, ‘Well, that is a risk.'”
