In today’s random celebrity news, Timothée Chalamet and Adam Sandler were spotted playing a game of pickup basketball together.
On Thursday, the two actors were seen in New York just casually playing basketball on an outdoor court.
Here’s Timothée dribbling:
And here’s Adam with the ball:

While the idea of these two dudes being pals might seem completely random, turns out they actually appeared in the same film nearly 10 years ago.
In 2014, Adam Sandler starred in Men, Women & Children alongside the likes of Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer. The film chronicled the lives of a bunch of parents and their high school children in the mid-2010s. Ansel Elgort, Kaitlyn Dever, and Timothée Chalamet played the teenagers in the film. Here are some of the cast members alongside director Jason Reitman in 2014:
Still, it’s anyone’s guess as to how and why the two ended up playing basketball this week in New York.
Plus, I have so many questions now.
Like, who orchestrated the game?
And did they know each other would be there?
Did they talk about being famous actors?
And, most importantly, who is the better basketball player? Any guesses? Let us know in the comments below.
