Jimmy Kimmel’s Oscar 2023 internet hosting stint didn’t go down nicely with the ‘RRR’ followers as he known as SS Rajamouli’s directorial a Bollywood movie in his opening monologue. While followers have been overjoyed to see the movie recognised on the ninety fifth Academy Awards, they have been additionally greatly surprised when Jimmy Kimmel referred to it as a Bollywood movie.
“RRR is South Indian cinema, a Telugu movie, Tollywood. Not Bollywood, as some Oscars ppl could be saying,” a social media consumer tweeted.

‘RRR’, which was launched in March 2022, made Indians proud because the movie’s track ‘Naatu Naatu’ bagged Best Original Song award on the ninety fifth Academy Awards on Monday. The track’s music consists by MM Keeravaani, whereas its lyrics are written by Chandrabose.
The duo went on the stage to obtain the golden trophy.
During their acceptance speech, M.M Keeravaani stated, “I grew up listening to the Carpenters and now right here I’m with the Oscars,” he started, after which started singing the melody of the ’70s pop smash “Top of the World”: ” ‘There was just one want on my thoughts. … ‘RRR‘ has to win, delight of each Indian, and should put me on the highest of the world.”
‘RRR’ stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR within the lead roles. The movie is a fictional story based mostly on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters; Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, Ram Charan and Jr NTR performed lead roles, respectively. The movie collected over Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. It has undoubtedly turn into a world rage with ‘Naatu Naatu‘ dominating all worldwide awards.
Before coming into the Oscars, in January, ‘Naatu Naatu‘ gained the Golden Globes within the ‘Best Original Song’ class.
