Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are divorcing after 7 years of marriage. The actors told Page Six in a statement: “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.” Meanwhile, a source close to the stars told Page Six, “Sofia and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.” Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello got married at Palm Beach, Florida in November, 2015.
Rumours about their separation first surfaced when Sofia Vergara posted pictures from her 51st birthday celebrations in Italy this month and Joe Manganiello was MIA. The Magic Mike star’s birthday post for Sofia also prompted separation rumours. Joe posted a throwback picture of the Modern Family star on his Instagram profile and he wrote “Happy Birthday Sofia” in the caption.
Sofia Vergara, best-known for featuring in the popular TV series Modern Family, has also starred in movies like New Year’s Eve, Chef, Bottom Of The 9th, The Female Brain, The Con Is On, Bent, Machete Kills, Wild Card and Madea Goes To Jail to name a few. Sofia Vergara also featured as one of the judges on America’s Got Talent.
Joe Manganiello’s stepped into acting with Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, in which he played the role of Flash Thompson. He also featured in the series True Blood and How I Met Your Mother. His film credits include Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL, What To Expect When You’re Expecting, Sabotage, Justice League and Rampage, to name a few.
