“Their CEO is clearly trying to push an image for them that isn’t appropriate…”
ADOR‘s CEO Min Hee Jin has come under fire after netizens criticized NewJeans‘ new music video for a scene that is “inappropriate” and “sexual” involving the young idols.
When the group first debuted, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin was criticized for the lack of appropriateness when it came to the group, including the outfits and lyrics to some of the songs.
While the group’s last songs have been deemed appropriate, their recent song “Cool With You” received criticism for a scene deemed not right for such a young group with minors.
The song was an instant hit as the members showcased their talent along with top stars Jung Ho Yeon and Tony Leung.
The scene that gained attention and criticism showed Jung Ho Yeon in the bedroom of the man she loved. Dressed in leather, the actress was seen going very close to the man on the bed, and many assumed it was meant to represent two people making love.
From the balcony, the NewJeans members were watching it all unfold. At one moment, Jung Ho Yeon even acknowledged the members as they watched through the window.
After the scene, Jung Ho Yeon is then seen taking her clothes off to represent a part of the story. Like in the previous scene, the NewJeans members were watching the story unfold, and Jung Ho Yeon expressed her emotions through her actions.
After the video was released, a tweet with the scene was shared online and was watched seen over three million times. The OP of the tweet seemingly found it uncomfortable to watch as they tweeted, “Ummm..???????”

The quote retweets were full of extremely passionate netizens voicing their anger at how inappropriate the scene was. While they emphasized that their anger was towards Min Hee Jin, not NewJeans, they couldn’t hide how wrong it was to portray a group with minors watching something that was meant to emulate two adults be intimate.
quotes clutching at straws to defend this “she’s an immortal being” ok and what business does an immortal being got to be doing all that? with minors having a front row seat?? https://t.co/SN9e4EsZT0

this is the result of y’all continuing to support a group of minors when their ceo is clearly trying to push an image for them that isn’t appropriate :/ https://t.co/Nl5Y5RH7Wn

qrts “she’s invisible”
in NO CONTEXT should ANY media have a sensually shot scene of two adults in bed spliced together with a scene of kids (especially WATCHING the adults). i need you to understand p3d0s make/use things like this video as “legal” csa material (aka child p*rn) https://t.co/Qcacd8uMMj

“weird but the song still hits” this is exactly why mhj won’t stop and idols will keep getting younger. you guys will still support the creepy shit that is done to these girls, make it very successful, therefore telling the industry that this is what we want when it’s NOT. https://t.co/7fKmpQAoXn

everyone jumping thru fiery rings to defend this concept i raise this question for you: why can minors not do concepts suited for minors and why are minors being pushed to do and promote concepts suited for adults https://t.co/fJpggzyjRm

Others also pointed out that even after Min Hee Jin’s past with concepts being inappropriate, many will still defend her.
genuinely astonishing how there will still be people running to min heejins defense even after this like she hasn’t been doing these weird creepy concepts for groups with minors in them since SHINEE. like people have been telling you she’s a nasty woman and a creep!!!!! https://t.co/0D8x6k7lJc

While some fans have stated it’s artistic and NewJeans are meant to be Cupid watching Jung Ho Yeon, many found the concept disturbing and not appropriate for a group so young and with underage members.
