aespa‘s Winter was recently a guest on Lee Mujin‘s musical variety program, Lee Mujin’s Service, during which she performed aespa’s “I’m Unhappy,” Baek Yerin‘s “London,” Tori Kelly‘s “Confetti,” and a duet cover of J.Y. Park featuring Sunye‘s “Farewell Under The Sun.”

Between showcasing her impressive vocal talents, Winter opened up to fans about how she began her career at SM Entertainment.

Winter shared that SM Entertainment unexpectedly cast her at a dance competition, which surprised Lee Mujin.

After being cast, Winter decided she would pursue SM Entertainment’s interest in her, and she went for an audition.

Winter broke down the surprisingly intense audition process for MYs, which included camera tests and singing “tens of” songs.

The talented aespa member revealed that the process took a long time, and a practice room was set aside for her for 3-4 hours.

During that time, SM Entertainment’s team asked aespa’s Winter about the songs she knew and requested numerous songs for her to sing.

While Lee Mujin may have been surprised by Winter’s audition process, MYs shared that they hilariously understood why SM Entertainment would want to hear Winter sing for hours.

During her Lee Mujin’s Service episode, Winter went into more detail about her shy personality and why she felt more confident while dancing.
