BIGBANG G-DRAGON’s Surprise Appearance At A Football Match Goes Viral With Netizens

As of late, updates from BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon have been less frequent than fans would have liked. At the beginning of the summer, fans were initially excited after receiving hints about his future music plans after the end of his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment.

Since then, there have not been any music updates, though the star did appear in the newest ad for BMW‘s XM, a luxury SUV.

Now G-Dragon has set the internet on fire with his in-person appearance at a soccer match!

On August 3, a friendly match between Paris Saint-Germain and the K League club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors occurred as part of Coupang Play’s Coupang Play Series. Last week’s games between Korean teams and the AT Madrid and Manchester City pulled in celebrity performers and attendees.

The same could be said about the August 3 match, as stars like Jung Yu Mi and Son Na Eun were seen at the game.

Also in attendance was G-Dragon, who quickly became a hot topic online, trending at #1 on Naver even over the recently announced relationship between BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo and actor Ahn Bo Hyun.

It seems like his attendance was likely due to the special collaboration between the Paris Saint-Germain team and Peaceminusone. In a post following the match, G-Dragon shared photos of custom-made jerseys featuring the icon flower design for the members of the team, including Lee Kang In and Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior (known as Neymar Jr).

The idol even met Neymar Jr. after the match, posing for photos and chatting with him as Neymar wore the exclusive jersey!

As fans wait for more music from the star, it’s nice to see him doing other activities as well!
