Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has introduced its newest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association carried out a brand new certification system for album gross sales, track downloads, and on-line streaming.
On May 11, Circle Chart introduced its newest album certifications. Albums are licensed platinum at 250,000 gross sales and licensed million as soon as they attain 1,000,000 copies offered.
Four artists scored new million certifications this month, beginning with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo for her solo debut album “ME.” This marks the first-ever million vendor album by a feminine soloist in Circle chart historical past!
Also scoring million certifications had been BTS’s Jimin’s solo debut album “FACE” and TWICE’s twelfth mini album “READY TO BE,” which each dropped in March.
The final million certification for the month was awarded to NewJeans for his or her first single album “OMG.”
After surpassing 750,000 album gross sales, NMIXX’s first EP “expérgo” formally earned a triple platinum certification.
In addition to scoring 1,000,000 certification this month, the Weverse model of Jimin’s “FACE” has gone platinum with over 250,000 items offered. Lastly, CRAVITY’s fifth mini album “MASTER : PIECE,” which dropped final month, achieved a platinum certification.
In the streaming class, songs earn platinum certifications after surpassing 100 million streams. Six songs went platinum this month, together with IVE’s “After LIKE,” NewJeans’ “Attention,” Younha’s “Event Horizon,” Super Junior’s Kyuhyun’s “The Moment My Heart,” Conan Gray’s “Maniac,” and BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love.”
The solely track to obtain a double platinum certification with over 200 million streams was “LOVE SCENARIO” by iKON, the group’s smash hit from 2018.
Congratulations to all of the artists!
