BTS’s “Boy With Luv” Is Their 1st Primarily Korean-Language Single To Be Certified Gold In UK

-

BTS’s “Boy With Luv” has gone gold in the United Kingdom!

On August 4 local time, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) officially awarded BTS’s hit 2019 song “Boy With Luv” (featuring Halsey) an official BRIT gold certification.

“Boy With Luv” is notably BTS’s first primarily Korean-language song to be certified gold in the United Kingdom—and their fourth overall, following “Dynamite,” their Coldplay collab “My Universe,” and “Butter.”

According to the BPI’s certification thresholds, singles are certified gold at the equivalent of 400,000 units sold, while albums are certified silver at 100,000 units.

Congratulations to BTS!
