On June 30, KST, BTS’s Jungkook went live on Weverse after the announcement of his upcoming solo single, “Seven,” hit the web.

The singer talked about the song, even giving a few spoilers. But once he had used up all the details he could reveal at this stage, he went on to talk about other topics, which included his new piercing.
Jungkook noticed that a fan had asked about his new piercing in the comments and proceeded to show it to the screen. It is a second piercing near his lower lip. While he already wears a lip ring, the new piercing is adorned with a simple stud.

While showing it to fans, the idol acknowledged that some people might not like him getting piercings and tattoos. But at the same time, he asked for their understanding since he genuinely likes these things.

Fans are very familiar with the BTS member’s love for piercings and tattoos. Over the years, he has sported many different kinds of piercings in his ear before he got his left eyebrow and lower lip pierced. But sadly, the singer told fans that most of his ear piercings have closed up after he took them out for an MRI. His eyebrow piercing is also now long gone.
Though fans are more than happy to support his personal choices, Jungkook took some time to explain why he enjoys those things in the first place. The BTS maknae said he likes things that are considered “excessive” because he likes the sharpness it adds to his appearance. Since his facial features are mostly round, he is drawn to these things that help balance out the roundness.

On the one hand, ARMYs feel that he didn’t even need to explain or apologize for doing things he likes personally. On the other, fans couldn’t help but feel endeared by his acknowledgment of his “round” face, something that has been a soft spot for both fans and the other BTS members.
