One of the strongest and most loved friendships in K-Pop is between BTS’s Jungkook and SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu. The two idols are part of the iconic ‘97 liners, with members of other huge K-Pop groups.
In particular, within the last few months, the two have met up (along with ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo).
And they even filmed a TikTok together!

It meant that netizens couldn’t hide their excitement when they got a notification from BTS’s Weverse with the caption “97.”
While a late night (4AM) broadcast isn’t surprising for Jungkook, they couldn’t hide their excitement when there was a special guest with Jungkook, and it was none other than SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu.
As soon as his head popped out, netizens couldn’t hide their excitement.
While Mingyu was confused that so many people were watching, Jungkook hilariously joked that ARMYs are used to late-night surprises.
Jungkook then officially introduced Mingyu to fans, although most people would’ve known who it was straight away.
The two then chatted some more with ARMYs, looking absolutely adorable while having a drink…

When the live broadcast ended, as one of the shortest ever Weverse broadcasts, netizens couldn’t hide their excitement that the two ‘97 liners had surprised fans while they were enjoying themselves. Although their friendship isn’t unknown, they have never gone live together, and it was welcomed.
