In exactly ten years, he’s gone from boyfriend to husband material!

CNBLUE‘s Kang Minhyuk has become a hot topic after netizens can’t stop getting over his transformation from his role in The Heirs in 2013 to his role in Celebrity in 2023.

Of course, Minhyuk first burst into people’s lives when he debuted in 2009 as part of FNC Entertainment‘s band CNBLUE, where he wowed everyone with his drumming talent, visuals, and charisma.

While he started his career and continues to thrive with CNBLUE, Minhyuk has also won the hearts of netizens with his acting skills. In particular, back in 2013, he became a hot topic after starring alongside Krystal in The Heirs as her boyfriend Chan Young.

Well, it seems like Kang Minhyuk has quickly found his way back into the hearts of netizens worldwide with his role in the newest K-Drama Celebrity, which follows the crazy world of social influencers.

In the show, Minhyuk plays Han Jung Kyung, who is a third-generation conglomerate (from a wealthy family who owns a huge business) and gets entangled with the lead character Seo Ah Ri, played by Park Gyu Young.

Since the show started airing, netizens couldn’t get over Minhyuk’s acting in the series. While the idol has had some roles since being discharged from the military, this was one of the most spotlighted roles, and netizens couldn’t get enough.

After netizens watched the episodes, they couldn’t get enough of Kang Minhyuk, joking that they’d started watching for the plot, but his visuals completely stole the show (aside from the unreal amount of cameos).

In particular, it wasn’t surprising that netizens couldn’t stop comparing his role in Celebrity to his role as Chan Young in The Heirs.

For many, Minhyuk had gone from boyfriend material to husband goals, and it was even more iconic as it is officially ten years since The Heirs was first released.

It seems as if June/ July K-Dramas are set to take over the world, and Kang Minhyuk’s role in Celebrity is definitely at the top of the list for many netizens.
