GOT7‘s Jackson is going viral after receiving praise for his opinions on marriage and childbirth amidst difficult statements from the hosts of the interview.
In particular, a clip from the interview has gone viral, with Jackson being praised for his mature and heartwarming explanation about his future. Jackson revealed that before he turns 35, he wants to get married and have a family.
After revealing that if it didn’t happen, he’d share it with the fans because he feels like they are his friends, one of the hosts tried to joke about people sending in requests for Jackson.
When asked how many children he wanted, Jackson shared that he wasn’t sure but became the ultimate “Green Flag” when he revealed that it was up to his wife. The idol explained that he would respect the wishes of his wife, adding that he understood how much pain comes with childbirth.
The interviewer then asked if he would be fine marrying someone who didn’t want children, and Jackson didn’t even hesitate before saying he would.
After this question, it seems like the hosts wanted to bring a reaction out of Jackson, but the idol stuck to his morals. When the hosts said to just find a girl who wants children, Jackson explained that it wasn’t a conversation to have when you meet someone.
When Jackson kept bringing up the pain of his wife, the interviewers seemingly turned it around asking about his pain. Although Jackson explained he’d never thought about it, he emphasized that in that case, it was the pain of his wife which is more important.
The host then prayed that Jackson found a wife who wanted children, adding, “That’s part of the relationship, right?”
Even at the end of the clip, the hosts seemingly didn’t care for Jackson’s words as he continued to speak about focusing on his wife’s desires, but they tried to make fun of it, even to the point where Jackson had to curse.
Yet, when the video was shared online, while netizens couldn’t stop praising Jackson for his thoughtful reply, fans raised anger at the people interviewing him. For many, they thought the people in the video were trying to corner Jackson to say something controversial that fitted in with their own opinions.
GOT7’s Jackson once again proved how empathetic he is to those around him, to the point where he puts his desires aside for the people he loves and their wellbeing. While the interviewers tried throwing difficult questions at him, Jackson stayed calm and stuck to his views.
