Music composer Ricky Kej, primarily based out of Bengaluru, has received his third Grammy Award for the album ‘Divine Tides’ and devoted the honour to his house nation, India. The US-born musician shared the award with Stewart Copeland, the drummer of the long-lasting British rock band The Police, who collaborated with Kej on the album.
At the sixty fifth Annual Grammy Awards, the duo earned the gramophone trophy in the perfect immersive audio album winner class. They had received a Grammy in the perfect new age album class for a similar album final yr.

Kej stated he was “grateful” for the popularity.

Other nominees within the class had been: Christina Aguilera (‘Aguilera’), The Chainsmokers (‘Memories… Do Not Open), Jane Ira Bloom (‘Picturing The Invisible- Focus 1), and Nidarosdomens Jentekor & Trondeheimsolistene (‘Tuvahyun – Beatitudes for a Wounded World’).
‘Divine Tides’ is a nine-song album that goals to ship the message that “every particular person life performs a vital position in sustaining the steadiness that serves all equally”.
Kej took house his first Grammy in the perfect new age album class for ‘Winds of Samsara’ again in 2015.
As a part of his work with The Police, Copeland has received 5 Grammys. With Kej as collaborator, that is his second award.
