Jin Sun Kyu Turns Dark After His Tragic Loss In “The Uncanny Counter 2”

-

Will Jin Sun Kyu turn to the dark side in tvN’s “The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch”?

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, “The Uncanny Counter” is a superhero drama starring Jo Byeong Gyu, Kim Sejeong, Yoo Joon Sang, and Yeom Hye Ran as demon hunters with supernatural powers. Two and a half years after the first season’s successful run, the drama returned with its long-awaited second season last week.

Spoilers

On the previous episode of “The Uncanny Counter 2,” Ma Joo Seok (Jin Sun Kyu) suffered the devastating loss of both his pregnant wife and their unborn child. Torn apart by this sudden tragedy, the furious Ma Joo Seok vowed revenge on the man responsible—and towards the end of the episode, he was unable to hide his rage when he learned that the perpetrator had woken up.

In suspenseful new stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, the grief-stricken Ma Joo Seok seizes a fire engine and uses it to horizontally block a tunnel so that he can raid a police transport van. There, he angrily wields his ax as a weapon, looking every bit like a ticking time bomb in danger of going off at any second.

To find out just how far go Ma Joo Seok will go in his quest for revenge, tune in to to the next episode of “The Uncanny Counter 2” on August 5 at 9:20 p.m. KST!
