SM Announces Debut Plans For New Boy Group RIIZE

-

It’s official: SM Entertainment’s new boy group RIIZE is debuting this September!

On July 31, SM Entertainment officially announced their plans to debut a new seven-member boy group named RIIZE this fall.

A combination of the words “RISE” and “REALIZE,” the name RIIZE means that the “group will rise and realize their dreams together.” The group’s musical genre is also described as “emotional pop.”

“RIIZE consists of seven top-notch members who have both skills and visuals,” stated SM Entertainment. “These members, each of whom has their own unique characteristics and strengths, will embark on a new ‘realtime odyssey’ together as one team, through which they will write a new chapter of music history.”

RIIZE, which marks SM Entertainment’s first new group since aespa’s debut in 2020, will launch an official Instagram account on August 1—and they will be introducing all of the members ahead of the group’s upcoming debut in September.
