I put these songs together, because I could not put either any lower. So I’ll start with “Haunted.” It’s truly one of the best songs on the album, and a song that needs to be talked about more. I am not ready for the mature vocals of “Haunted” on the Taylor’s Version.
“Long Live”: “Long Live” deserved a spot on the Eras Tour setlist, no matter what anyone says. Musically, it’s probably one of her best songs. I’ve only listened to it a few times, and I can tell you it’s a song that deserves more attention. An underrated masterpiece. It gives me such a nostalgic feeling I can’t explain.
Best lyric (“Haunted”): “You and I walk a fragile line, I have known it all this time, but I never thought I’d live to see it break, it’s getting dark and it’s all too quiet”.
Best lyric (“Long Live”): “Long live the walls we crashed through, how the kingdom lights shined just for me and you, I was screaming, ‘long live all the magic we made,’ and bring on all the pretenders, I’m not afraid.”
