“This Looks Scary” — Netizens Can’t Handle The Uncanny Valley Of ITZY Yuna’s Recent Selfies

“I know she’s really pretty but she looks kinda weird here…”

Even with all of the stunning girls in the fourth generation of K-Pop, ITZY‘s Yuna still stands out among them with her beautiful visuals.

Whether bare-faced, wearing minimal makeup, or glammed out, there doesn’t seem to be anything that Yuna can’t pull off, and that’s all due to her natural beauty!

However, a recent series of selfies that the ITZY maknae posted on the group’s social media has fans feeling odd due to what appears to be either unflattering makeup or strange filters used on them.

In the pictures, Yuna’s eyes look unnaturally large, likely due to circle lenses, the aegyo-sal under her eyes, and whatever filter she’s using. It’s giving some fans an uncanny valley feeling, because she just doesn’t look quite real.

People are confused why such a pretty girl would be using such exaggerated filters that make her look so unlike herself.

The comments on the post are overwhelmingly confused and bewildered over why Yuna looks so strange in the photos.

The photos even ended up on an online forum post because of how uncanny Yuna looks, and the comments there are similar to those on the Instagram post itself.

Are beauty standards starting to get too unrealistic, or was Yuna just having fun with filters for these images?
