KBS2’s “My Lovely Boxer” has released a new teaser!
“My Lovely Boxer” is a sports drama based on the novel “My Lovely Boxer Lee Kwon Sook” written by Choo Jong Nam, the winner of the second Kyobo Bookstore Story Contest. It is a story about genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook (Kim So Hye) and a cold-blooded agent Kim Tae Young (Lee Sang Yeob) who doesn’t feel guilty of match-fixing for money and the success of his athletes. WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo stars as Lee Kwon Sook’s first love and preschool vice principal Han Jae Min.
The newly released video begins with Kwon Sook’s fierce fight after taking on an offer from Kim Tae Young in order to retire from boxing permanently. Meanwhile, Tae Young is caught in the trap set by match fixer Kim Oh Bok (Park Ji Hwan) and jumps into the world of match fixing in order to save pitcher Kim Hee Won (Choi Jae Woong).
Tae Young catches ahold of Lee Kwon Sook and states, “I wanted to see you.” He pleads, “Just three months will do—just two matches. If you do that, I will be cleanly out of your hair.” As he chases after the truth behind the reason why Kwon Sook quit boxing, Tae Young eventually succeeds in turning Kwon Sook’s heart around, starting a dangerous game.
In addition to the dangerous world of match fixing, “My Lovely Boxer” also teases a love triangle and romance between Lee Kwon Sook and her first love Han Jae Min (Kim Jin Woo) as well as the complicated father-daughter relationship between Lee Kwon Sook and Lee Chul Yong (Kim Hyung Mook), raising questions about the potential misunderstanding between them.
Furthermore, there is a tense relationship between sports agent Jung Soo Yeon (Ha Seung Ri) and her rival Kim Tae Young as she warns Kwon Sook about Tae Young. Meanwhile, in the ring, champion Han Ah Reum (Chae Won Bin) puts up a fierce fight with Kwon Sook, adding to the suspense.
