The Amazon Prime Video schedule for August 7-13 features the release of the anticipated Red, White & Royal Blue movie.
On Friday, August 11, the Amazon-owned streamer will add Red, White & Royal Blue to its available content. Directed and executive produced by Tony winner Matthew López from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ted Malawer, the story follows the unlikely relationship between the son of the President of the United States and Britain’s Prince Henry. Both charming but disliking each other, the protagonists are forced into a truce after a public altercation threatens U.S./British relations. As they pretend to be friends, their icy relationship slowly warms, sparking an unexpected and more profound connection between them.
Based on Casey McQuiston’s 2019 novel, the upcoming romantic comedy stars Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine as the protagonists. The cast includes Clifton Collins Jr., Sarah Shahi, Rachel Hilson, with Stephen Fry and Uma Thurman, Ellie Bamber, Thomas Flynn, Malcolm Atobrah, Akshay Khanna, Sharon D Clarke, Aneesh Sheth, and Juan Castano.
Starting Tuesday, August 8, fans can watch Luca Guadagnino’s latest film, Bones and All. The cast is led by Timothée Chalamet and includes Taylor Russell, Mark Rylance, and Michael Stuhlbarg. Additionally, Chloe Sevigny, Francesca Scorsese, Jessica Harper, André Holland, and Halloween director David Gordon Green. The film revolves around the first love between Maren, a young woman surviving on society’s fringes, and Lee, a disenfranchised drifter. They embark on a thousand-mile odyssey through Reagan’s America, facing their haunting pasts. Guadagnino directed and produced Bones and All from a screenplay adapted by Dave Kajganich. After premiering at last year’s Venice International Film Festival, Bones and All grossed $14.5 million at the box office.
