Elwood Edwards, the person behind the long-lasting “You’ve received mail!” greeting on AOL, has died. He was 74.
WKYC-TV Studios in Cleveland, Edwards’ former employer, introduced the news of his loss of life, which comes following an undisclosed “lengthy sickness.” Edwards had labored on the Ohio station as a “graphics guru, digicam operator and common jack-of-all-trades.”

Edwards was born in New Bern, North Carolina, and graduated from highschool within the state. His profession began when he labored in radio in highschool. He later transitioned to working in TV later in his life.
