Dream Girl 2 is among the most eagerly awaited movies of the year. In the spiritual sequel to the 2019 movie Dream Girl, Ayushmann Khurrana reprises his role as the beloved character Pooja. Ayushmann was pictured doing a ‘pooja’ for the success of Bollywood films in the movie’s teaser, which was released last year. In the official first look for Dream Girl 2, recently released before the film’s planned release, Ayushmann as Pooja looks beautiful. Numerous celebrities, including Tahira Kashyap, Ayushmann’s wife, have responded to the look.
On Tuesday, July 25, the Dream Girl 2 production team posted the first official image of Ayushmann Khurrana as his character on social media platforms. In the poster, Ayushmann, who plays Pooja, looked lovely in a lehenga, wig, and lipstick. The twist is that Karam, Ayushmann’s other character in the movie, can be seen looking at Pooja. Ayushmann will play two characters in the film, along with star actress Ananya Panday. Ayushmann shared his poster on Instagram and added, “Yeh toh sirf pehli jhalak hai. Objects in the mirror are more khoobsurat than they appear!”
In response to Ayushmann’s appearance as Pooja, his wife, Tahira Kashyap, has posted a heart eye and a fire emoji in the comments section. The actor Darshan Kumaar also adorned it with a heart and a fire emoji.
Audiences have praised Ayushmann’s seamless transformation into Pooja, and many are eager to see how he handles playing two very different characters. Ekta and Shobha Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures banner produced Dream Girl 2 under the direction of Raaj Shaandilyaa. It also stars Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz and others in addition to Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. On August 25, the comedy-drama will be released on big screens.
